Amazon Alexa App Reviews

Downloaded the app and it worked for one day. Now I cant open the app at all. Every time I click it, it says waiting and never opens. I tried deleting it, but it wont even delete.

My only real issue is that it is sometimes slow to open. Shrug.

If this is the improvement, Id hate to see the original. If it isnt fixed soon, the Echo is going back.

Alexa is an amazing device but its app is junk. This also goes for the Amazon tech support. It is non existent. Their suggestion is to delete and reinstall their non functioning app. There is no support other than a bunch of canned answers. You can see an amazing number of people all complaining about the same issues. I guess they are too big to care!

So I tried to send this feedback through the Alexa app itself, but even that feature was broken. The Echo is awesome -- like how you want Siri to work! The skills section is terrible, as other reviews have said, and the app for Our Groceries, which I use, doesnt work. Spotify is also fairly difficult to set up and I had to do some weird stuff (kill and restart the app, unlink and relink my account, etc.) to get it to work. The companion apps were a big reason why I got the Echo in the first place, so I hope they sort out bugs with these quickly. I will say theyre rolling it out in such a way (pilot, then Prime members only) where they know there are issues they need to work through, and the nice thing about software and the cloud is you can update as you fix stuff, so my hope (and expectation) is you wont be seeing these 1- and 2-star reviews for long. The Echo and the Alexa app have HUGE potential, and Im definitely not sorry I bought it.

Cant login at all anymore

app used to work, but now its asking to login, but it doesnt even have a form to enter in username & password

Ok I purchased Echo with intent of turning my lights on when Im away cloud connectivity ETC. well the App Is fairly useless customer support passes the buckAmazon says get in touch with LIFX. LIFX says get in touch with AMAZON. has anyone had success setting up cloud connecting with lighting? If your products says it can connect with another product shouldnt your reps be proficient on troubleshooting them?

Should be illegal to advertise the things that Alexia cannot do. It does not work with Apple iPhones you cannot sync calendars or play music.

Amazon always had the best customer service. This app and its customer support is the worst Ive ever dealt with, so much that its affecting my opinion of Amazon has a company. The app is extremely outdated, cant really do anything with it, and does not allow me to adjust alarm or timer volume. Customer support is non existent.

Horrible app, even more horrible device. Doesnt understand anything you say if there is any background noise. God forbid if you want to see your history through the app, I hope you have 2 weeks to spare while it loads. Bottom line, do not buy and if you already have, return it ASAP.

iPad mini 2 latest updates. What is this app supposed to do? Because it does nothing. Every time i start to do something it tells me (actually prints it on the screen. It doesnt talk) to speak into my FireStick voice remote. Ok. So whats the app for. Hopefully not just to tell me to use an Amazon remote for Amazon devices. That must be why my Samsung Galaxy wont operate my Apple TV.

What happened? The Alexa app wont work on my iPad mini ..anymore. It keeps saying login. I keep putting in info. To no avail!

Alexa is no Siri... Apple please develop a real house assistant... Alexa does the weather and an alarm clock... My iPhone already does both and pings me, wishful thinking.

GET RID of the light gray fonts on a white background! This decade old fad makes reading difficult to impossible for many people. Legibility must have higher priority than faddish design styles!

Sigh. I go to log in and am stuck in a broken loop. Just resets every time I click "login". I was checking the app out before buying anymore Alexa devices. A total blocker.

The instructions say download the app and follow instructions but the app didnt do anything after I closed an ad for some new Amazon product . After tinkering around I found the setup section and began. Well, two tries and an app crash later , I finally have my echo on the network.
